Chess at Padua is a popular game amongst students at the College. It allows students to socialise and compete against their mates in a variety of competitions held during the year.
The main competition for secondary students is the AIC Chess competition in Term 2. Each round takes place Friday evenings were students battle with their minds over a 64 squares board against other AIC schools. This year, our Chess Open IV Team won the 2016 Premiership.
With benefits such as improving a student’s mathematical, analytical and strategic skills, chess is the perfect activity for all.
During the season further information including training times, team lists, staff, schedules and results are available via the tabs above and through SharePoint.
